Day 3

I logged into sparkpeople.com and got a surprise. My caloric intake has been a maximum of 1990 for months. Today I logged in and my caloric intake has been reduced to a maximum of 1810. I'm not sure how that happened. Especially since I had put in my real weight. It's higher than the weight I had in there. Oh well. Either way, I went over the number of calories that I should have had - I blame the 2 twizzler twists that I had.

Day 2

Well, Day 2 went well considering that the monster (now known as 'Little Jillian') was being egged on by her father. She is still graphing my food. I think I might be afraid of a 9-year-old! (LOL...well, mostly!)

My boss was kind enough to bring his treadmill to our office. I used it at break time today. Wow! I really am out of shape...shhh...don't tell Little Jillian....she'll have me running cross country!

Anyway, here are the numbers for TUESDAY...Day 2 of accountability!

Day 1 Cont....

Well, I'm pretty sure that I created a monster. Her name is Jackie. Jackie is becoming Jillian-like in her quest to help her Mommy lose weight. She nagged at me until I rode the stationary bike for 30 minutes on Sunday night. I balked last night. My personal trainer only got 15 minutes out of me last night. She did, however, get her Daddy to play the Wii. This is pretty amazing considering we can NEVER get him to play on the Wii. Granted, it was Golf but at least he wasn't watching tv.

Jackie was also kind enough to make a graph for me. The graph showed me where I did good and where I messed up. I wonder why Daddy didn't get a graph?

Day 1

Well, my first day of accountability went well. EXCEPT for having to get on the scale in front of Tonja. That sucked. I didn't realize that I weighed so much. I'd post the number here, but I'm not quite ready for that! As far as calories are concerned, I stayed under (barely).

Anyway, here's the breakdown:

Random Thoughts...

My caloric intake (according to sparkpeople.com) is going to have to be between 1640 - 1990. I'll also be tracking my protein, carb and fat intake. I am a huge carb-O-holic. So tracking my carbs should = fun. Before the lap-band, my entire diet was based on carbs. I loved rolls, pasta (of any type) and naturally pizza. I was forced to change my diet with the band - I do eat a lot more protein - mostly in the form of steak.

Have I mentioned that I love sugar? Sugar is so addictive. At least, it is to me. How do I cut it out? It's in LITERALLY everything.

In The Beginning....

Today is the beginning of my journey to lose weight. I've tried just about everything. Including lap-band. Unfortunately, I had to have the lap-band removed, but that's another story for another day! Recently, some friends and I decided that we would try a new tactic. We would tell each other everything that we were eating. Yes, you can eat anything that you want, but telling your buddies that you've eaten cookies for supper puts a lot of guilt on a person.

Anyway, welcome to my blog! I hope that we approach our new accountability with humor and grace. And I'm sure that we will. At least we will in the beginning....
